On our farm, we grow 12 varieties of apples, on over 3,000 trees, and 5 varieties of Minnesota Cold Climate wine grapes, on 3,100 individual vines. Some of the apples, and all of the grapes are used in winemaking at Parley Lake Winery.
Our rustic barn was built in 1888. Inside the barn, you will find the Parley Lake Winery Tasting Room, as well as hand-made crafts, colorful mums, kitchen ware, books, local honey, jams and jellies, apple cider, pumpkins and much, much more. And of course, you can't forget all the fresh apples!
Great place for family fun in an absolutely beautiful setting! Definitely the must go to place for fall. Also, I don't drink and still had an absolute fabulous time as there are so many additional things to do. For those who enjoy wine, it's a beautiful setting to enjoy a glass. Thanks for providing this wonderful Fall option!
I like going here for the wine and walking around the Apple orchard and to take pictures of my kids with the nice scenery. However if your not dressed like your a millionaire they won't serve you they will let you stand in line and let other people around you sample wine. Finally I asked if I could have a glass of wine and the lady looked at me and said that she thought I was just watching and said it didn't seem like I could afford the wine. Mind you it's cold and misting out I had a sweatshirt on and jeans with my coach bag. Its not like I went in PJ's and slippers.... Also you should offer other things to drink besides wine. Why not try serving hot Apple cider made from your apples and hot chocolate, a little more kid friendly and less trashy high class. I said I liked it but my kids hate it here.
What a horrible experience. The worst is this is based on an interaction with the owner, Lin. My family was there for our annual orchard trip. Lin was driving our group and stopped in a "secret spot" Then he picked apples as a special treat, passed our entire family and then came back and said to our oldest..."Haven't you had enough?" Her Mother had to let him know they had just got there and hadn't had anything yet, to which he was unapologetic. I could maybe understand if this was from some young employee that hasn't been around customer service...but from the owner, Lin himself, how utterly distpectful. We will NEVER go back.
Good place but not our favorite. Relaxed atmosphere and not crowded. The honeycrisp apples didn't taste quite right. The apple crisp apples were delicious but the topping wasn't very good.
It might be better to go on a weekday when there aren't so many winos around. I felt out of place not drinking on a Sunday morning. Way over priced.
