About Us
NATURA FARMS is a small farm of 57 acres located on White Rock Lake in Scandia, Minnesota, and only minutes from the Twin Cities. Our "Natura" name is Latin for "Nature," indicative of our commitment to working with Nature. We aim to keep the environment clean and healthy, to build soil life naturally, and to grow exceptionally tasty and nutritious produce without the use of destructive pesticides. Our Food Alliance Midwest certification is further assurance of our commitment to ecological integrity and growing superior fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
Some have called our serene lakeside setting "a piece of heaven." The pleasant rural environment also makes Natura Farms an ideal place for family outings and picnics, a therapeutic place for all to de-stress. Our 10 acres of recreational land adjoins White Rock Lake in a park-like setting, complete with majestic oaks and towering maples. Picnic tables are available for your enjoyment.
We have invested 30 years building our soil so it will consistently produce healthy plants. Healthy plants taste better and are able to essentially protect themselves from pathogenic bacteria, fungi and insects. This largely eliminates the need for pesticides, organic or otherwise.
